Vintage glass makes me feel connected to my mom and dad. Dad collected all types of glass, mostly bottles, but occasionally he would come home with beautiful crystal pieces for mom. Giving their vintage glass new life with the light and fragrance of a candle allows me to share time and space with them in a new way. As I peruse antique shops in search of glass, I can imagine my dad doing the same. And as I make candles in mom’s kitchen, I can picture her there cheering me on.
